Description

The Barn is an ideal retreat for those looking to get away from it all. This lovely barn conversion is built in stone and slate and has much character; vaulted beamed ceilings, rough plastered walls and thick slate window cills. One in a group of similar cottages and located well off the beaten track, albeit Lower Halwyn is only about 200 yards from the Camel Trail which follows the route of the old railway line between Padstow and Bodmin, so you are only about 30 minutes' walk to Padstow. Better still - why not bring your bikes? Much of the Trail lies beside the Camel estuary - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - and its natural beauty and wildlife is there to be enjoyed, whatever time of the year you visit. The historic fishing town of Padstow, having a number of seafood restaurants and interesting shops, is well worth a visit and along the coast will be found a number of glorious sandy beaches.

GROUND FLOOR: All open plan with slate floors. Entrance door into HALL AREA coat stand, shoe/bag rack, leads into spacious open plan lounge and kitchen/dining area KITCHEN/DINER electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, 2 refrigerators (one with ice box), table, 5 chairs. French doors to patio and garden LOUNGE three seater and two seater sofas, large LCD TV with freeview, DVD player, hi-fi (radio, CD). Carpeted stairs from hall area to FIRST FLOOR: BED.1 spacious room with sloping ceiling, large Velux window and picture window, both having lovely countryside and estuary views, double bed, (4'6") with memory foam mattress, wardrobe, dressing table, hair dryer, bedside tables, chair/bed (single) BED.2 twin beds (3'), wardrobe, chest of drawers/bedside table, Velux window with countryside view BATHROOM bath (electric shower over), basin, w.c. GARDEN & PARKING: Roses grow up and over the front door which has a small terrace outside. The remainder of the small, fenced garden is laid to lawn at the front and has a picnic bench. There is one designated parking space in the courtyard, plus additional visitor spaces.
