The Barns at Old Lanwarnick, parts of which date back to the Doomsday Book with over 1000 years of history, have recently been restored to provide stunning luxury accommodation and featured in October 2009 on the Discovery channel's Real Time's House Wreck Rescue. The barns are a truly perfect rural retreat for those who enjoy quality accommodation in a picturesque location surrounded by hundreds of acres of outstanding natural landscape. They make an ideal base for an active holiday with beautiful walking, cycling, dog walking and horse riding from the door. You can even treat your own horse to a holiday. A regular car ferry service links Boddinick (a 10 minute drive) to Fowey. With a busy working harbour littered with pretty sailing boats and yachts, as well as award winning restaurant and pubs owned by top celebrity chefs, Fowey makes for a perfect place to spend a relaxing few days. The farm is only three miles to the closest beach (a true smugglers' haunt). The nearest pub is a 10 minute walk. Rainbow Cottage has been thoughtfully and tastefully furnished in a modern, contemporary style. Specially commissioned paintings and photographs adorn the walls and finishing touches also include wonderful pieces of craft and sculpture. A comfy leather sofa, luxuriously appointed bedrooms and welcome basket stuffed with goodies ensures a welcoming feeling.
