In the evenings the sitting room at the top of the house is great for adults to chill out with a glass of wine while the children watch TV in the lounge. The property is only two minutes' walk to the harbour, shops, pubs, cafes, the ferry to Rock and numerous highly recommended restaurants, including Rick Stein's famous Seafood Restaurant. There are beautiful sandy beaches in the river Camel estuary, island cruises, fishing trips and nearby surfing, sailing, kayaking, golf and horse riding. The Camel Trail, which leads all the way through to Bodmin along the route of the old railway line, starts from Padstow and is popular with walkers and cyclists who enjoy the scenery and the wildlife through this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just down the coast are lovely cliff top walks and a number of glorious sandy beaches - great for surfing and families.
