Visit Perranporth
Perranporth is a popular family destination offering a fantastic 3 mile long surfing beach that is Lifeguarded from May until September. Dogs are currently welcome on the beach but must be on a lead in July and August making this the perfect destination for families with canine companions. Surfing and Kite surfing are keen pass times here and with a multitude of surf hire shops you'll be sure to find all the kit you need to try out whichever grabs your adventerous side. Sand dunes create the back drop for this beach, and buried beneath them are the ruins of St Piran's Oratory, so don't dig too deep!Perranporth is located about 6 miles south-west of Newquay with a population of about 3000. It has many shops to ponder about in and gather your holiday souvenirs as well as good places to eat out or get take aways. Many of the pubs put on live entertainment over the summer weeks. One to look out for is the Watering Hole which is situated right on the beach.
