Cornwall... a reminder of how life should be

It's incredible that this tiny corner of England should speak so closely to many facets of the human spirit. Whatever your age, whatever your interests, Cornwall has it in abundance.

If you are looking to recharge your batteries what better place to come than the wide open spaces of Cornwall, the rugged cliff tops, miles of sandy beaches, hidden coves and unique wildlife. Choose a converted barn in the countryside, an apartment overlooking the harbour in Padstow or a fisherman's cottage with open fire.

Marvel at the variety of choice of places to eat, the good food and excellent wines and beers. Dip in and out of village life or just sit and watch the world go by. Watch out for the little posters stuck on telegraph poles or in shop windows to make sure that you don't miss the folk singer in the pub, the brass band on the quay or the art exhibition by local artists. There is always something going on.

But maybe your idea of relaxing is to be a little more energetic and, once again, Cornwall provides the wherewithal. From cycle trails to windsurfing, horse riding to golf, just turn the corner and an opportunity presents itself. Book a cottage near Harlyn and get yourself some surfing lessons or a house in Constantine Bay near the golf course.
And for those whose adrenaline rush has to be off the scale then check out the Xtreme Academy at Watergate Bay or the night life in Newquay! Book an apartment just a mile from both of them!

But Cornwall doesn't just do local; it also does world class:
The Eden Project is a visitor attraction with the world's largest greenhouse made up of three huge domes each emulating a natural biome and housing plants from all around the world. The actual construction of the biomes broke several world records!

Ten areas in Cornwall have been designated World Heritage Sites; former mining districts which are testament to the profoundly important process of pioneer metal mining. There are a number of museums and attractions celebrating this important aspect of Cornwall's past.

Tate St Ives has become known internationally for the modernist art produced by artists associated with the town.

And hopefully the South West will become a world class destination for off-road cycling. A total of £7.5m is being invested in developing the activity across the region including funding of £4.6m from the Rural Development Programme for England.

So Cornwall beckons. Let Cornwall look after you - mind, body and spirit - and send you home refreshed and already planning your next visit!
