The kitchen/dining area is a bright space with plenty of natural light and everything you need to prepare some tasty meals from fresh local produce. Head to the first floor, where there is a king-size bedroom and a spacious, contemporary bathroom. Up again to the second floor, and you’ll find a twin room with a Smart TV for some lazy mornings in bed. Outside is an enclosed rear courtyard with outdoor furniture to take advantage of sunny days and enjoy breakfast or dinner alfresco.

Polperro (5 miles) is one of Cornwall’s most picturesque fishing villages and makes for a lovely day out. Head a little further to Lantic Bay (8 miles) and walk along the South West Coast Path as it winds through rugged headlands and spot the pretty coves. The Eden Project (20 miles) is a world-famous attraction where you can immerse yourself in nature. If you are in the mood for some thrills, head to Adrenalin Quarry (7 miles), which offers zip lining, coasteering and an outdoor adventure playground for the kids.

We recently stayed at this seaside cottage and overall, it was a pleasant experience, though there are some aspects worth noting. The location is fantastic, with two convenient stores nearby, making it easy to pick up any essentials you might need during your stay. The property itself is charming, with a lovely, spacious, and bright bathroom that'sRead more a real highlight. However, parking is definitely an issue, especially if youre staying for an extended period. The designated car park mentioned in the joining instructions is about a 15-20 minute walk from the cottage, depending on where you manage to find a spot. This can be quite inconvenient, particularly if youre carrying luggage or groceries as the stop just outside by the post box is often not an option. Additionally, if you park overnight, youre looking at around 10 per day, which can add up quickly if youre there for two weeks or more. The kitchen is functional but basic, offering only some simple pots and pans, so if youre planning to cook elaborate meals, you might find it a bit limiting. The living room is cosy, though the TV could be positioned betterif youre sitting at the far end of the sofa, you might find yourself craning your neck to get a good view. Lastly, the staircase is quite steep, which wasnt a problem for us, but its something to consider if you have mobility issues. In summary, this cottage is in a great location and has some lovely features, but be prepared for the parking situation and a few minor inconveniences. Hide
