Discover the coastal town of Looe, bursting with traditional seaside charm, and stay at this cosy family cottage, complete with a warming wood burner and views over the bustling streets towards the ever-changing seascape beyond.

Inside, you''ll find yourself in the sociable lounge/kitchen/diner, well-equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. This snug room offers a view of the town, perfect for people-watching while you bask in the glow of the wood burner. Upstairs via the steep cottage staircase, is a twin bedroom with zip-and-link beds (convertible to a king-size on request) and views out to sea. A family shower room is also on this floor. Moving up to the top floor, you''ll find another light-filled room with a king-size bed and a concealed wardrobe, again boasting far-reaching sea views. While there is no outside space, the sandy beach is less than 100 metres from your front door.

Looe''s charming cobbled streets are home to a delightful array of independent shops, boutiques, and eateries, all leading to the bustling quayside where the fishing industry thrives year-round. From West Looe, embark on a scenic 5.5-mile walk along the South West Coast Path to the picturesque village of Polperro, once notorious for smuggling. Along the way, explore the two beaches and numerous rock pools of Talland Bay at low tide. East Looe''s main beach, with its gentle slopes, is a favourite spot for sunseekers, while nature lovers can learn about the marine nature reserve of St George''s Island on a Cornwall Wildlife Trust boat trip or visit the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary, 4.5 miles from home.

Its decorated nicely and has lots of promise but its too squashed and lacking sofa / washing machine and some basic equipment. There was no sitting area to relax. There was a dining table with shallow benches and fold out chairs. Fine for dining but not for relaxing in any way. The cottage itself is very small. Theres very little space and Read moresteep narrow staircases. It would be a lovely spot for two people if one bedroom was made into a sitting room. But for four people - of which one of ours was a 3yr old - it was far too cramped. There were minimal supplies - salt pepper and vinegar only. One bin bag. The location is good and central. That was the biggest positive. Hide
