Recharge your batteries in this striking contemporary house just half a mile from a beautiful National Trust beach in the peaceful village of Crantock. The stylish holiday home sleeps eight guests, along with one furry friend. With ample space and a large, enclosed garden, it is perfect for families or friends sharing. The historic village centre has pubs, a shop and a tearoom and you’ll find more eateries in lively Newquay (4 miles), famous for its surf and sands.

Return to this beautifully furnished property after a day out on unspoiled Crantock Beach and relax on comfortable sofas in the bright and airy open-plan living space. The impressive kitchen/diner has a breakfast bar and dining table, and two sets of patio doors opening onto the garden. There’s also a separate lounge, where you can curl up on cosy seating. Upstairs, discover a swish family bathroom and sea glimpses from two of four delightful bedrooms. These comprise two king-size, one with an en-suite shower, a double and a twin. Outside, the spacious rear garden features a lawn and patio with outdoor furniture and a BBQ.

Unspoiled Crantock Beach has a wide expanse of golden sand backed by steep dunes, with lifeguards on duty from May to late September. If you’re keen to improve your watersports skills, a beachside activity centre licensed by the Trust offers lessons and hires out equipment. Pets are welcome, but please follow the Trust’s Canine Code. Fistral Beach (8 miles) is another surfing hotspot, while the National Trust’s charming Elizabethan manor house of Trerice (4 miles) is a true Cornish gem, set in a lovely garden.

Lovely comfortable home in a great location. The house was clean with everything we needed to feel at home. There are lots of beautiful beaches and walks close by. The village also has two lovely pubs and Jam Jar kitchen which does yummy pizzas, coffee and cakes. We also enjoyed a lovely lunch at the C-Bay Bistro after a walk on the costal path. We had such a fantastic stay here. The location is absolutely perfect, such a quick walk into Crantock village and down to the beach. The house was beautiful - so clean and fresh. The kitchen is very well equipped and the decor was lovely. Would highly recommend and well certainly be staying again!
