Nestled on a quiet, car-free lane just off the bustling harbour, this former fisherman’s cottage for two offers a stylish combination of old meets new in the heart of picturesque Looe.

Stepping inside through the lovely stable door, you'll find a contemporary kitchen/diner that welcomes you with open arms. The kitchen is fully equipped for your culinary escapades, with an intimate dining table set in a light-filled corner. Ascending to the first floor, you'll discover a cosy living room, complete with an electric fireplace and a Smart TV, creating the perfect backdrop for moments of relaxation. On this level, a compact yet well-designed shower room awaits. Climb another set of stairs, and you'll find the bright and airy bedroom with exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling that adds to its charm. While there's no dedicated outdoor space, the bustling harbour and the inviting beach are moments from your doorstep. Begin your day with a freshly brewed coffee and a pastry from a local bakery, then make your way to the quayside to immerse yourself in the maritime hustle and bustle.

Perched on Cornwall's scenic south coast, Looe is celebrated for its pretty winding streets, historic harbour, and vibrant coastal atmosphere. At the town's edge lies a sweeping sandy beach with rugged rocky outcrops on one side and the famed Banjo Pier on the other. Looe exudes a warm and welcoming ambience, particularly at New Year, when flocks of visitors come to join the fancy dress street party. For those with an appetite for adventure, the Looe to Polperro coast path offers a captivating half-day trek and the convenience of a bus ride back. Alternatively, explore nearby attractions like The Monkey Sanctuary (4 miles), the thrill-packed Adrenalin Quarry (7 miles), and the splendid Lanhydrock House and Garden (16.5 miles). Don't miss the world-famous Eden Project (22 miles) that houses incredible landscapes of tropical plant life in its towering biomes.

We spent a week in Looe at Sandling cottage, what a lovely place and well furnished with a nice sized bedroom and comfy bed in a beautiful narrow Cornish street. A perfect base to use for visiting the area. Would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage in a central position near pubs, restaurants and shops. Also near the beach and South West Costal path.

Yeah it was good and a bit quirky lol. Mind those staircases, they are very steep. Very good location for eateries and very close to the beach.
