Unwind and take in the undulating rural views when you stay at this special retreat in North Cornwall. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom cottage is set on a working farm 3 miles from Launceston. In a superb situation for exploring Dartmoor National Park, Bodmin Moor and the Tamara Coast to Coast Way, it comes with a large deck, an area of lawn and a hot tub to relax in at the end of each day.
Enter the cottage via the kitchen, where a feature has been made of an original well. This is now covered with glass to enable guests to gaze right down into it. This beautifully finished room, which also has exposed stone walls, includes everything you need to help you prepare meals with the ingredients you have bought on your trips out into your surroundings. There is also a central island and breakfast bar to gather around. Wander through to the lounge in the evenings to settle on the soft seating and play a game or watch the Smart TV. Pull open the doors on fine days and gaze out over the countryside. At the end of each enjoyable day away together, climb the stairs to the first floor of the cottage. Here you will find a king-size bedroom, a double and a bunk bedroom suitable for children. The family bathroom is also up here. Dine outside as often as the weather permits, fire up the hot tub and simply soak up the serenity.
Lace up your boots and head straight out on picturesque walks from the cottage. Ensure you visit Strawberry Fields Farm Shop for all your local produce less than 2 miles away, enjoy afternoon tea in the café and take part in one of their 'pick your own' events throughout the year. Venture 6 miles to the Roadford Lake Activity Centre to try your hand at a range of water sports. Drive 11 miles to the fringes of Dartmoor or 11.5 miles to Bodmin Moor. Treat yourselves to a day out at Summerleaze Beach in Bude, 20 miles away.
