This charming cottage in the tiny hamlet of Tregowris sleeps four guests and makes a fabulous base for families and couples looking to explore the rugged, remote landscape of the Lizard Peninsula. You’ll be close to some of the peninsula’s finest beaches, including the idyllic Kynance Cove (10 miles), and the picturesque village of Mullion is 8 miles away. Nearby family attractions include the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (7.5 miles) and Flambards Theme Park (9 miles).
A stable door, via a couple of steps, leads into the single-storey cottage. Inside, you’ll find a welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner with a homely feel, thanks to pretty soft furnishings and artwork on the walls. Cook up a storm in the cute kitchen area, before gathering for evening meals around the dining table. After dinner, sink into the plump sofa or armchair to read a book or catch up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. Two cosy bedrooms complete the accommodation, along with a family shower room. The attractive garden is fully enclosed and has a small lawn and a patio area for outdoor dining.
A trip to the Lizard Peninsula isn’t complete without a visit to Kynance Cove. This picture-postcard beauty spot is one of the most photographed in the whole of Cornwall, thanks to its white sands, turquoise waters, and dramatic sea stacks. Keen walkers can join the long-distance South West Coast Path, which winds around the entire coast of the peninsula, taking you past some truly breathtaking hidden coves and beaches off the beaten track. After a day of exploring, head into Mullion to sample some delicious seafood in one of the independent restaurants.
