Waterside is aptly named, situated as it is with stunning views over the ever changing, unspoilt Camel Estuary - depending on the tides you could be watching small sailing boats or water skiers skimming over the water or an abundance of wading and sea birds making the most of the golden yellow sand bars and shallow water.  The location is perfect, it's only a short walk to the Camel Trail at the bottom of the road where you can either walk into Padstow with 10 minutes or so, or, turn in the other direction and enjoy the 17 miles of mostly traffic free Camel Trail. Waterside provides all the home comforts you require in this spacious, well equipped holiday home.

Climb the external stairs and enter to a cosy dual-aspect sitting room, perfect for relaxing evenings with a film. The beautiful kitchen/diner is equipped with everything needed to cook up a storm, complemented by a light-filled dining area providing fantastic views over the water and Little Petherick Creek’s iron bridge. An attached sun room with panoramic vistas offers even more opportunities to bask in the scenic beauty. In the family shower room, where you can indulge in a refreshing shower. At the end of the day, choose between a twin room and a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room or the third bedroom furnished with a bunk bed (double at the bottom and single at the top). Through a door in the dining room, you’ll find the balcony with glass balustrade and metal railings and outdoor furniture, the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks while taking in views of the rooftops and the estuary beyond. A short flight of steps leads to the lawned garden with plenty of space to bask in the sun or for children to play.

Still maintaining its traditional fishing fleet, Padstow boasts a wide array of pubs, cafes, and restaurants to explore before setting off along the South West Coast Path to the sandy shores of St George’s Cove beach (1.5 miles). Enjoy fun-filled bucket and spade days on beaches such as Trevone, Harlyn and Constantine, all within 5 miles of your door.

Padstow was great as ever, though I'm afraid for the rental cost 6 Porthilly needs some loving care.
