A spacious barn conversion within 8.5 miles of Wadebridge, one of the many important stop-off points on the Camel Trail, a popular haunt for walkers and cyclists that runs between Padstow and Bodmin. Ideal for a family getaway to the countryside, the barn features an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, an enclosed patio garden and access to a shared garden behind.

The single-storey barn is located on a family farm surrounded by undulating countryside. Almost equidistant between Cornwall''s north and south coastlines, the barn has lost none of its original character in being brought up to date to suit contemporary tastes - its large, bright rooms punctuated with rustic soft furnishings and a soothing colour palette. The delightful, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is blessed with high ceilings and comfortable seating, with plenty of natural light falling across its carpeted flooring and wood burner. There are two inviting bedrooms off the hallway - a king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom - both of which offer plenty of storage space. A family bathroom is handily placed nearby. Outside, the enclosed patio garden includes plenty of seating, and there is also access to a shared area behind the barn for everyone to enjoy. Private parking for up to two cars is also available.

The barn''s location in the heart of the undulating Cornish countryside makes it an attractive base for walkers and cyclists, while the coast is close for those who love water sports. Bodmin and Wadebridge (both within 8.5 miles) are on the Camel Trail and offer an impressive array of family-friendly shops, pubs and eateries. The barn''s position, 13 miles from the north and south coasts, means the foodie haven of Padstow and the surfing paradise of St Austell are within easy reach.

A lovely cottage situated in a very quiet place meant a very peaceful stay. Close to shops such as Sainsburys. Only 25 minutes drive away from Newquay/ Eden Project. Would definitely recommend to anyone seeking out a home away from home!

We had the most amazing week at the Hideaway, we visit Cornwall every year and this is one of the best cottages we have stayed at, we will definitely be back. We really loved the welcome pack of Cornish tea, coffee, and biscuits plus the pack for the dishwasher/washing was very useful. Every detail had been thought about, we used the washing machiRead morene once for the towels which was great! It was very handy to have a shark hoover to keep the floors clean. The beds were very comfortable, as was the sofa and dining area. The furniture and pictures were beautiful which added to the beach aesthetic, It was a home from home. We were lucky to have the most gorgeous weather, we went to Man beaches over seven days, we really enjoy travelling around Cornwall each time we come and discovering new places, we have stayed near Bodmin several times as we find this quite central for exploring. Plus, we love staying down the country lanes in the middle of nowhere it adds to the adventure. Recommendations: Carlyon Bay was our favourite, Polzeath, Watergate Bay, Harlyn Bay, Padstowe, Tolcarne Beach (best sunset) mawgan porth, fistral beach, great western beach. We had a meal at the Travellers Rest which we really enjoyed and the Lanivet Inn which had lots of choice of food! we also went to Wadebridge and had fish and chips. There is a local spa shop in Wadebridge and lots of supermarkets on our travels, the Hideaway has everything you need for cooking. The Tyler Family Hide
