Take a couples’ trip to see the best of Cornwall and stay in this beautiful stone cottage. Located on the west coast in St Just, you’ll be able to enjoy the coast, see the wildlife and learn about the area’s fascinating history. Plus, you can bring your dog for walks along the beach.

This property is reverse level, so when you enter you’ll find two bedrooms. Both are comfortable and airy with light colouring contrasting the wooden highlights for a refreshing feel. Head upstairs to see the open-plan living space, a charming area which combines the kitchen, lounge and diner into one convenient spot. The sofas are perfect for snuggling up with your partner and the kitchen is well-equipped and great for packing lunches or rustling up feasts after a long day of exploring. Outside the property you’ll find a seating area which is a lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day, or a cup of coffee in the morning.

St Just is a pleasant little town with a few pubs and shops around. Take a day trip to the nearby St Ives (12.5 miles) where you’ll find art, food and surfing, or journey to Land’s End (6 miles) for the westernmost tip of Cornwall. The area is rich in wildlife and history, so pack your binoculars to catch sight of rare birds and sea creatures. There are plenty of ancient sites nearby, including the Carn Euny Ancient Village (5.5 miles), a ruined settlement with tunnels, or try Tregeseal Stone Circle (1.5 miles) a 4000-year-old spot which may have served as a graveyard or home of a god. St Michael’s Mount (11 miles) is also worth a visit. It’s an island sometimes accessible by causeway with a slightly-more-intact castle.

It is located in the heart of town which was our main requirement. A little too modern and small for our taste but we are quite old. Real old cottages are our taste but it suited us fine.

We loved this cottage, but we did have 1 issue which was its location - Friday/Saturday nights were very noisy until about 1am because of the local pub. Also one bedroom is next to a public pathway which often has people walk down at all hours. This was easily managed by ear plugs and keeping our kids bedroom window closed at night but not ideal. ARead morepart from the noise and lack of parking, the cottage itself was great - done to a high standard and had everything you needed. Hide

Had a fantastic time at The Lodge. My only negative comment would be the very close proximity to the beer garden of the pub which meant it was very noisy until about 1am from Thursday to Monday which made it difficult to get to sleep. Also, I think advice should be given regarding the loading/unloading outside the property; the corners to turn inRead more and out by the property were incredibly narrow and would likely cause real problems for a less experienced driver!
