Property code: OC-L30070

This stylish coastal retreat and garden enjoys an elevated position in the heart of East Looe. Providing a relaxing stay for six and just a quarter of a mile walk to the beach, it’s a perfect base for those looking to discover more of the Cornish coast.

Contemporary features and a sought-after location make this an incredible house to stay in. Step into the light and airy lounge, spark up the wood burner and settle down in front of a film on TV. Amble through to the open-plan kitchen/diner to whip up a tasty feast of freshly caught fish and gather in the social dining area. Continue the frivolity by grabbing a bottle of fizz and heading out the patio doors leading to the upper terrace. Here, panoramic scenery and plenty of garden furniture provide the ideal backdrop for a night of laughter and nattering. When the night draws in, head to one of the three peaceful bedrooms on the ground floor. A cheerful super-king-size room presents magnificent views that can be enjoyed over a cuppa in bed. Upstairs, a charming super-king-size room and a lovely twin room offer harbour views and low-sloping ceilings for added cosiness. Spend mornings catching up with your book in the first-floor snug with a piping mug of coffee.

Explore the local area by following the pretty rows of terraced fisherman’s cottages leading into Looe, where inviting restaurants, pubs, bars, shops and galleries will allow you to while away the hours. Enjoy your proximity to the beautiful East Looe beach, just a quarter of a mile from the property. Build sandcastles, have a dip in the sea, fish for crabs in the rock pools or travel to one of the endless number of nearby beaches, starting with Plaidy (1 mile), Hannafore (1 mile) and Polperro (5 miles). Entertain the kids with a day out to Porfell Wildlife Park and Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary, all within 10 miles of the house.

The property has stunning views overlooking Looe. It is truly a home from home. Lovely sized bedrooms, with extremely comfy beds. Short walk from the town centre. Where this property is situated people with mobility problems may find the steep road hard to walk up. Such a wonderful property which could accommodate us at such short notice. Would defRead moreinitely stay again. Hide

Fabulous house, great location, beautiful views. A real home from home with everything you need. It is our second stay here and would definitely stay again. It is up a steep hill which doesnt get any easier to walk up but thankfully it is only a short distance up and gave us a workout each day.
