Forget about everything else and lose yourself the in south of Cornwall during your stay in a bright and homely coastal-themed cottage by the river Fowey. Spend quality time with your loved ones on long dog walks along the South West Coast Path, swimming in the sea and dining at the local seafood restaurants. In the evenings, relax in the garden with a glass of bubbly while Fido plays in the courtyard.
Step inside the rectangular open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and your eye will be drawn to the far end of the room where French doors open onto the garden. The ‘U’-shaped kitchen is crisp and bright with glossy surface tops and plenty of space for cooking a homemade meal. Continue past the dining set for four into the lounge with two sofas and a SmartTV. Upstairs is a family bathroom plus two bedrooms – a king-size and a twin room. Outside the south-facing courtyard has rattan furniture and an outside tap. You’ll also have access to the grass gardens which are shared with neighbouring properties.
During your stay in the charming harbour town of Fowey, you’ll be within 500 metres from the riverfront with an abundance of independent restaurants, cafes and bars around you. Bring your hiking boots and make the most of the coastal walking route from Readymoney Cove (0.5 miles) which will take you past the 16th-century ruins of St Catherine’s Castle (1 mile), numerous secluded coves, Gribbin Daymarker (2.5 miles) to Booleys Beach (5 miles). You could also get the ferry across the river to Hall Walk nature reserve (1 mile) or the small village of Polruan (1 mile).
