For a little seaside holiday, there’s no place better than St Ives. You’re surrounded by beaches in a walkable town with lots on offer, with hikes, wildlife and culture within easy reach. This cottage is the perfect place for a family trip where everyone can find something to enjoy.

Enter the property to find a kitchen/diner which leads to a patio. Next door is the lounge, a lovely spot to relax after busy days full of adventure. Head upstairs to find two bedrooms: a double and a twin. Both are charmingly decorated with nautical touches, comfortable and great places to get some much-needed rest. The garden is equipped with furniture and a BBQ for long afternoons with casual food and plenty of sunshine.

Take some time to explore St Ives. For beautiful beaches, try Porthmeor Beach (0.5 miles) for surfing opportunities, or walk along to see the famous Man’s Head (0.5 miles). Alternatively, visit Porthminster Beach (0.5 miles) for a different (but equally stunning) view. If you’d like to soak up culture as well as sunbeams, visit the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden (500 metres) or Tate St Ives (0.5 miles and next to Porthmeor Beach) for different art exhibitions. Coastal walks with beautiful views are all around you, including National Trust Godrevy (10 miles) for rock pools, stone age settlements and wild seals; Land’s End (18 miles) for the westernmost part of England; and St Michael’s Mount (9 miles) an island accessible by causeway, where you’ll find a medieval castle and sub-tropical gardens. Finish your trip by taking a coastal pony ride from Old Mill Riding Stables (4 miles) or going for a day out at Flambards Theme Park (15.5 miles).

Our 2nd time staying at fish bones. Great location close to everything you want or need, if parking at the leisure center car park, the bus stops literally around the corner from the cottage. The cottage is a real cornish home, small but perfect for couples or small family .we love St Ives, the beaches are beautiful all offer something different. Three adults used this property for a week. The location is excellent. Within easy walking distance to the train station, shops, harbour and beaches. We ate in every evening and used the kitchen alot which is well equipped. There is a Co-op 2 minutes walk away. The fridge is small so we shopped for food each day. The beds are very comfy. The cottage was very clean and kitchen had everything needed and more for our stay, including staples such as tea, coffee, tea towels and washing up liquid. Also there was soap in the bathroom which was good too. We all loved the cosy cottage. We will definitely book this cottage again or others that are linked to original cottages in the future.Read more Hide
