Delight in a stay right at the heart of one of Cornwall’s most vibrant towns. This charming stone hideaway in St Ives sleeps five guests and offers superb access to shops, pubs, restaurants and wine bars, as well as beautiful beaches. With two bedrooms, it includes a wood burner for warming yourselves beside after winter walks and a small courtyard where you can relax and enjoy the sea air after your exciting days out.
Enter the cottage to find yourselves in a welcoming, characterful, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with gorgeous, exposed stonework and a white painted, beamed ceiling. Light the wood burner set into the stone wall in here on chilly days then settle back on the soft seating to watch TV, listen to music or simply chat about your adventures. Make hot cups of tea to enjoy with the fresh scones, Cornish cream and jam you have bought in St Ives or prepare a tasty meal to sit down to at the table. When everyone is ready to turn in for the night, head upstairs to your bright bedrooms, a twin room and a double, which has an extra fold-out single bed. Both bedrooms have TV/DVDs and there is a family bathroom up here too. Have breakfast or coffee out in the courtyard on fine days. Parking for this cottage is in public car parks close by which may have a charge.
Stroll just 150 metres from the cottage down to the sandy beach at Porthgwidden. Bamaluz Beach, also 150 metres away, is a great beach that surfers adore. Walk 500 metres from your house to visit Tate St Ives or the same distance to the famous Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden. Have a day out to the long sandy beach at the Towans, an 8.5-mile drive from your base.
