For a family holiday with young children, seek out Carbis Bay. This beautiful location has plenty of sun, sea and sand and easy access to St Ives without being quite so busy. So pack your bucket and spade for a summer holiday full of fun.
This fapartment this on the ground floor and has five rooms. The main living space is an open plan lounge/diner which connects to the kitchen through an archway. The kitchen is spacious with plenty of countertops for cooking or making sandwiches for everyone. The relaxing area has huge windows overlooking the bay, so you can enjoy natural light and listen out for the sea when it’s quiet. On one side you’ll find an electric fire to make everything a little more cosy. There’s two bedrooms, a twin for the children and a double for the parents. Both are comfortable and simply decorated, and the double room has an en-suite for that extra-special holiday touch. Outside you’ll have access to a communal terraced lawn, so the kids can make friends or play together.
Carbis Bay Beach is less than 0.5 miles from the property. It’s sandy, good for flying kites, making sandcastles and splashing around. If you’re a keen surfer (or want to learn) head to Porthmeor Beach (2 miles) where there’s a surf school and places to hire equipment. In the other direction you’ll see Hayle Beach (4.5 miles), which is shallow and when the tide goes out, you’ll find huge stretches of bright sand. Finish your holiday with a trip to Clodgy Point to see sea lions (3 miles) or take a pony ride at the Old Mill Riding Stables (2 miles).
