Located in a peaceful residential area above Porthleven, this detached property has accommodation for nine people plus two pets, and comes with a large garden and private parking.
This substantial property offers all the comfort and convenience of home. Step inside and the living room has a large corner sofa and recliner chair before a wood burner, plus a TV, DVD player and shelves full of books and games to entertain all ages. A sliding door opens onto the rear patio. The open-plan kitchen/diner has all the modern must-haves too. Cook up a treat then seat everyone around the large table; close by there’s a feature fireplace and a second seating area with its own TV and DVD player. A cloakroom completes the convenience at ground-floor level, while upstairs are five bedrooms and a family bathroom. The master suite has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room that offers distant sea views and a glimpse of the town’s famous clock tower. Equally inviting, the double bedroom has dual-aspect windows, one with far-reaching countryside views and the other looking towards the harbour and bay. Three more rooms offer flexibility for all: one has bunk beds, one has twin beds and the third has a single bed. A lawn and block-paved driveway add kerb appeal to the front and side of the property, while at the rear there’s a private enclosed garden with a large patio area and lawn. The outside shower area is super-handy after a day on the beach.
Sitting on the west coast of the Lizard Peninsula, the ancient harbour town of Porthleven has an array of cafes and restaurants, kept well supplied by its busy fishing fleet. The beach here is a long expanse of sand separated into smaller areas by rocky outcrops. Walkers can follow the South West Coast Path in either direction from the town; for adventures further afield drive 9 miles to Marazion, home of St Michael’s Mount, or head 14 miles to Lizard Point, one of Cornwall’s most iconic landmarks.
