Enjoy a Cornish adventure in your own barn, literally off the beaten track, one of two beautifully converted barns on a working farm. This three-bed conversion seamlessly blends rustic and original features with modern styling and design to a high spec for the most comfortable of stays. Bring the family or come with friends – just don’t forget the dogs; they deserve a holiday too! Within 5 miles of Helston, it’s ideal as a base for exploring both inland and for reaching both North and South Cornish coastlines. That’s if you can tear yourself away from this wonderful home-from-home and its stunning countryside views.
This beautifully converted farm building offers quirky ‘upside down’ living, so the bedrooms are downstairs, while the spacious living areas take full advantage of the fabulous views and also of the apex ceiling with its exposed beams. Add to that, tasteful expanses of exposed stone, wooden floors and hessian rugs, and it feels chunky and rural as well as deluxe. The lounge is a glorious space welcoming you in with comfortable seating, a wood burner and lots of light from windows and the French doors which open to the furnished, decked terrace. The modern take on a country kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need and makes a fabulous social space to catch up or have a special meal. As well as the spacious terrace, there’s a BBQ and enclosed garden that’s brilliant for kids and dogs to play while you admire the views.
Head to the picturesque fishing harbour of Porthleven (6.3 miles) for independent shops or fabulous food. St Ives is 12 miles along the north coast where you’ll find an array of cafes and arty delights including the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum. Visit the iconic St Michael’s Mount at Marazion (9 miles), crossing over the causeway at low tide. Gorgeous Praa Sands beach is only a few miles away and has a great café.
