A perfect mix of tranquillity and family fun is all within easy reach of this well-designed cabin, and makes a wonderful getaway for friends and small families.

This gorgeous wooden cabin is set in idyllic Cornish woodland with just one other cabin. A perfect rural escape for a family looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, it’s an ideal base close to Cornish hotspots such as Widemouth Bay (5 miles) with its smuggling history and rockpools and the picture-perfect seaside town of Bude (7 miles). Up to two four-legged friends are also welcome.

This is an impressive cabin with an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and contemporary decor and furnishings. The lounge space offers a comfortable corner sofa and an additional chair in which to snuggle and enjoy movie nights in front of the Smart TV. If the night sky is more your thing, then head for the chairs and telescope provided and spot stars to your heart's content. The kitchen area has everything a cook needs to prepare a picnic lunch or delicious family favourites to enjoy around the dining table. There are two bedrooms located just off the living area - one is double with plenty of wardrobe space, and the second has bunk beds suitable for both adults and children. This latter room also has a TV. Completing this lovely cabin is a shower room with a waterfall Jacuzzi shower including body jets, a multi-function hand shower, and a WC. Outside, the surroundings are as striking as the cabin, and you will instantly understand why this is such a special place to retreat to and unwind from everyday concerns. A private wood-fired hot tub makes for the perfect place to relax and soothe tired muscles after a day of adventure. Enjoy a sundowner or an evening meal at the table and picnic bench on warm evenings and, if you need a walk then you can explore the surrounding woods.

There are plenty of classic Cornish attractions close by including the historic ruins of Penhallam Manor (4.5 miles) with its dog-friendly trail, and the National Trust Georgian townhouse of Lawrence House (12 miles). Cornwall is a walker’s paradise and there are beautiful hiking areas at Efford Beacon (5 miles) or along the South West Coast Path at Caunter Beach and Rane Beach (16 miles).

  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Beautiful cabin in an equally beautiful location. Spotlessly clean, fully equipped, comfortable cabin. Everything you need is there. Tea, coffee, sugar, cleaning materials. We were also welcomed with a bottle of fizz, Cornish biscuits and a pint of milk for a well needed cuppa when we arrived. Our recent stay at Acorn Cabin was brilliant, such a a clean and cosy space off the beaten path. We loved the wood fired hot tub just what we needed after venturing to Bude, widemouth bay, port Issac, Padstow and Newquay which are all within easy reach from the cabin. Amazing cabin!!! Clean, comfortable beds, spacious shower, hot tub, lots of space to walk the dogs and relax indoors and outdoors. Excellent cabin located in a beautiful woodland area. Acorn cabin is really well equipped and the hot tub was a big hit with the kids. We loved our stay, even during storm Ciaran! We love these cabins, they are secluded so you can just wind down and relax. There are some great places to visit and bude offers everything from lovely ice cream, fabulous Balti to Gin and Rum shops. I would highly recommend booking both cabins and inviting family to stay- its a great way to be together and have lots of space

This is a lovely cottage as a family with our dog it was the perfect location. Just being able to walk in the woods, build dens and play on the swings. The hot tub was amazing. The animals you can hear at night is amazing to hear owls, many birds and foxes.

We enjoyed the peace of Hilton Wood (apart from when generator was on!) and it was handy for our needs. Didnt use hot tub or telescope - PIR needed on steps for safety. Cabin was reasonably well equipped but lighting is terrible throughout. Needs coffee tables, hooks on doors, towel rails and an oven glove!

Lovely cabin, great quiet scenic location, very comfortable furniture, great surroundings, excellent wi fi and smart tv is a really nice addition, great location for day trips as nothing to far away, only downside was the hot tub hard to control temp and no bubble or light features, however would highly recommend

The cabin is in a lovely quiet location yet close enough to Bude and the beaches. It has lots of lovely touches and extras like games. The kitchen is well equipped. The main disappointment was the mattress wasn't comfy for a good sleep!

Lovely quiet and idyllic property situated close to where we needed to be but far enough away to give us perfect tranquillity. Hot tub is a real bonus to sit in and relax with a bottle of wine or 3 lol but be careful getting out after the 3rd one.

Beautiful location - so peaceful! Comfortable cabin and the wildfires hot tub was a hit. Well equipped kitchen and the welcome gift was very welcome . We had a couple of issues with doors but Holly and Adam who look after the property were very quick to sort .

The cabin was brilliant, it had everything you could ever need and despite having neighbours during our stay, it still felt really secluded. We could have lived there! There are lovely woods surrounding the cabin too which the dogs absolutely loved and we spotted a deer one afternoon, magical. Lovely place and lovely location. Our woodfire hot tub wasnt working but luckily we were able to use the other cabins hot tub. No iron or iron board which was a pain but other than that it was great. If you want somewhere thats out of the way and in quiet then this is the place to go!

Truly stunning cabin & location, the wood fired hot tub was amazing & can really be appreciated in such privacy. Great variety of walks, forests, great beaches & miles of coastal paths to enjoy & all nearby. Acorn cabin really does tick all the boxes, definitely 10 out of 10 from me.
