Property code: 83852

Situated off the beaten track at the northern end of Cornwall’s Roseland Heritage Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this exquisite barn conversion offers an ideal retreat for couples. Nestled amongst lush green countryside and only 1.5 miles from the coast, you can enjoy windswept walks along the South West Coast Path, lazy days on the beach or day trips to nearby fishing towns/villages. Of an evening, immerse yourselves in the rural tranquillity or head into nearby Porthpean (1.5 miles) or Charlestown (2 miles) for a bite to eat.

Beautifully decorated in a traditional country-cottage style, you’ll find it easy to unwind and feel at home in this spacious property. On entering, head into the bright and airy lounge where an exposed stone wall adds character whilst a wood burner creates a cosy atmosphere. On summer days, open up the patio doors and let the fresh air and sounds of the countryside flood your senses. The kitchen/diner is well-equipped with the vaulted ceiling adding to the sense of space. Completing the accommodation is a large shower room and a charming double bedroom. Outside, enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on the patio.

Cornwall is known for its sandy beaches and you’ll be spoilt for choice here, with Porthpean, Charlestown and Pentewan all within 4 miles. If you’re keen walkers, they are all connected by the South West Coast Path, which offers another perspective of the stunning rugged coastline. Heading east, the popular harbour town of Fowey (10 miles) has a range of shops and eateries on offer, as does Mevagissey (5.5 miles) to the south. For an interesting day out amongst beautiful surroundings, why not visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan (6 miles) or the Eden Project (6 miles).

This was our third visit to Cowslip! We're always made to feel so welcome and relax as soon as we get out of the car. The location is amazing and, even though the weather wasn't as kind to us as we'd hoped, we made the most of all the local walks. We can't wait to come back.

Wouldn't improve on anything, nice extra touches of flowers, biscuits and tea and good to know the owner was around should we have any problems, which we didn't. Spotlessly clean.

This cottage was well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable, it had its own garden and a nice patio to eat when the sun shined. Near to lots of places to visit, Lanhydrock (National Trust), Fowey nice boat trip, Mevigissy really good, Charleston, and Falmouth.
