Within the grounds of an old manor house in Callington lies this holiday bungalow, which enjoys access to 30 acres of the beautiful Tamar Valley on its doorstep. You'd be hard pressed to find a more perfectly located spot to explore all the treasures of Cornwall and Devon - especially one that comes with access to two swimming pools, tennis courts, and a games room, shared with the rest of the small complex.
The bungalow is deceptively spacious and homely, with room for a family of six or a small group. Light streams in through the floor-to-ceiling windows and glass-panelled doors, emphasised by the neutral decor. The interiors capture the quirky essence of the area though, with pops of bright colour creating a warm, cheery mood.
The bustling waterside city of Plymouth is just 19 miles south - perfect for a day trip by car, or by train from neighbouring Calstock. Once you've arrived, explore the National Maritime Museum, the waterside bars and restaurants, before returning to your cosy holiday cottage. Also nearby is Morwellham Quay (6 miles) - home to the Living Museum of Victorian Life, where you can board the carriage ride and take a trip to the mines. Of course, no trip to the South West is complete without a beach day, and with Looe (21 miles), Polperro (26 miles), and Whitsand Bay (21 miles), you'll be spoilt for choice.
