Plucked from the pages of a storybook, Heyleigh Farm Cottage is a welcome trip back in time. Experience a stay in a traditional thatched cottage a few miles from the beautiful town of Bude. Uncover the hidden nooks, admire the preserved features and embrace the charm of a country escape.

Quintessentially Cornish, this inviting home has character in abundance. Sleep under the beamed ceilings and absorb the wholesome ambience that radiates from the carefully chosen details of every room. Cook a hearty meal in the classic farmhouse kitchen and feast in the cosy dining room. Spend warmer evenings in the large garden with a decked dining area perfect for hosting a BBQ.

Bude, 4.3 miles away, is a lively town which offers beaches, supermarkets, shops and cafés. There are plenty of other beaches to choose from nearby too. The famous sandy beach of Summerleaze is 6 miles by car, but if you're looking for a quieter, more romantic spot head to Duckpool Cove (8.2 miles). If you're looking for a great family day out, The Big Sheep (22.8 miles), The Rebel Cinema (8.2 miles), and Milky Way Adventure Park (15.3 miles) are all within easy reach and have activities for all weather conditions.

Great property and location. They provided cleaning products, bin bags, bbq pack, tin foil, bag of ice in freezer, wood for wood burner. You will need to bring a lighter. Just go careful you dont bang your head on the low door frames. It hurts, but you do adjust as the week goes by lol. Lovely beaches near by and great pub called the Preston Gate IRead morenn. Hide

What a lovely peaceful picturesque place. Lots of garden for xl bully and staffie to run around playing together. Garden and area very safe very secure. Cottage has lovely character and very comfortable. Overall loved our stay thank you to owner.

Gorgeous cottage. Huge secure garden that our Golden Retrievers adored. Very peaceful and well appointed. Super clean, with super comfy beds. Some lovely beaches and walks in Bude. Great break.

Lovely cottage, and well appointed. I suffer with my back so I found the furniture a little soft for me but that's just being picky. I am 5' 6" and found I had to duck my head going thru all the doors, little space above my head. This did not spoil our holiday at all, just pointing it out to all you taller people staying there. Took me sometime to Read moreget used to opening the front door to let the dog out in the garden as there's no back door to the property. our stay was an enjoyable one though. Hide

Lovely cottage that comfortably accomodates and sleeps 6. Remote enough that it makes a nice change from city living but not too isolated that you feel in the wilderness. Large enclosed grounds great for kids and dogs as it's fully enclosed. It's very dark at night, which reveals so many stars. There are low ceilings throughout but I'm 6'6" and quiRead moreckly got used to ducking in places. By car Bude is 5-10 minutes away. We had easy day trips to Padstow, Barnstaple and the Eden Project. This is a beautiful cottage 10 mins drive from Bude and has a lovely big enclosed garden to keep a dog safe in.

Beautiful cottage with a fabulous garden for dogs. A great location for exploring north Cornwall / Devon. We had a fabulous break. Thank you for the welcoming cream tea on arrival, it was much appreciated!

We have just had a great week here! The cottage is beautiful and the big garden was prefect for family fun and for the dogs. We had quite a few problems with the low beams with three 6ft odd men but that comes with the character of the place. Suggested more garden chairs (and maybe replace the 2 that are there) but that's about all. Great central pRead moreoint for seeing Cornwall. Places we suggest visiting from there would be padstow & port isaac (can do in 1 day) and looe & Polperro (can do in 1 day) Hide
