True to its name, a huge cartwheel lies lazily against the outside of this traditional stone-built cottage giving you a clue to its history. One of six cottages on a working farm, you are not only surrounded by beautiful countryside, but you'll also have ample opportunity to participate in life on the farm, feeding lambs, riding ponies and even taking the alpacas for a walk. Onsite fishing and tennis courts are also on hand so remember to bring your rods and racquets.
The lounge area is definitely the heart of the home, with exposed beams and a roaring wood burner in its own brick fireplace giving a real sense of warmth: the perfect place to settle down with a board game. With lots of outside space and play areas excellent for families and groups of friends, as well as a private patio with BBQ, you won't get bored during summer months either.
If you can't tear yourself away from the farm, there are chef-cooked meals and beauty treatments available by arrangement for an extra special treat. If you do fancy a day out, take a trip to the popular coastal resort of Bude, 9 miles away, where you can browse the many galleries, shops and cafes. The tidal pool at Summerleaze Beach is a safe swimming spot and the sandy beach is great for surfing. Join the coastal path here or drive down to Tintagel Castle or Boscastle, both under 11 miles away, or Padstow (27 miles).
