Ideally situated in a tranquil and secluded hamlet along the stunning northern coast of Cornwall, this quaint, cosy and welcoming cottage makes an ideal base for a couple looking for a perfect romantic retreat in charming surroundings. Nearby is the popular village of Kilkhampton (2 miles), while the hamlet of Morwenstow (3 miles) leads to the spectacular Shipwreck Coast on the Hartland Peninsula where you can enjoy breath-taking walks and spot local wildlife.

Retaining plenty of original features, including exposed beams throughout, this delightful cottage adjoining the owner's farmhouse offers peaceful accommodation full of charm and character. Neutral hues throughout ensure you'll have a delightful stay and it's the perfect place to retire to at the end of a wonderful day exploring this fabulous area.

The property is less than 3 miles from the South West Coast Path and there are many beautiful beaches, quaint harbours and hidden coves to discover throughout this lovely area. Morwenstow, a National Trust plot of land famous for Hawker's Hut, is less than 5 miles away and 30 miles away is the popular coastal town of Port Isaac (30 miles), used as a location for the TV show Doc Martin. Bude is 8 miles, Tintagel steeped in the legends of King Arthur is 24 miles and if you cross the county border into Devon you can go climb the cobbled streets of Clovelly (12 miles).

A great little cottage ,all the basics you need and a encloses garden for the dog. The location was very peaceful. The old smithy and Bush Inn are the best local pubs. The Welcombe beach is also very unique and you can actually drive to it ,although it's a very narrow and bumper road. All in all a brilliant place to stay.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. Very dog-friendly area. Totally enclosed garden which is a must for dog owners and a total sun trip in the good weather. Very quiet and relaxing in a lovely rural area.

Great location, loved the private enclosed garden for the dog, and the patio was a sun trap. Cottage was ideal for a week away in a great part of Cornwall. We did find the bed very hard and uncomfortable and it could do with a mattress topper. Other cottages we have stayed in have supplied kitchen and bathroom sprays too for cleaning, but the washiRead moreng machine was a bonus. All in all good value for money and we would stay again. Absolutely fabulous cottage clean tidy plenty of hot water after a days walking, would thoroughly recommend ideal place to replace and unwind. The cottage was warm and cosy and very clean. The owners have certainly done there best to suit everybodys needs.

And chill!! A beautiful cozy cottage situated in a peaceful country location. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Great dog friendly garden with large patio, great little sun trap. Perfect location to explore north Cornwall /South Devon. Lots of great beaches, Clovelly, Tintagel, Boscastle all a short drive away. Definitely recommend

This was my 4th stay at Thimble Cottage and it has become a home from home for me and my dog. If you haven't stayed yet, do book in before bookings close. It is so relaxing, we'll appointed and gives easy access to great walks and not far from such more.

Our 2nd stay at Thimble Cottage in 7 months. Peaceful, Cosy and homely for a lovely break away. Thank you to Sam for taking the time to get extra outside chairs organised so we could all sit in the garden when my sister visited. Lovely quiet, cosy cottage. Perfectly situated for visiting so many of the wonderful locations around Cornwall. Well equipped and everything we needed was available. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dog without us having to keep our eyes on him.
