As
the name implies, this is a conversion of two of the three cottages
originally built for the coastguard and it is easy to see why; the
spectacular panoramic views allow you to see for miles out to sea and
along the coast. The Trevose Head lighthouse is just down the road, as is
the lifeboat station and both are occasionally open to the public to view
– well worth a visit. The beaches of Mother Ivey's Bay and Booby's Bay are
about a 15 minute walk but there are several beaches in the locality - one
for every day of the week! – and most are wonderful for families and
surfers alike. Trevose Golf and Country Club is also only 2 miles down the
road; weekly membership is available. Coastguard Cottage West is
beautifully furnished, well equipped and complete with a large garden, a
sun-trap of a courtyard and a balcony to take advantage of the glorious
views; what more could you want?
During low season and at short notice mid season the main house may be
booked without The Barn at two thirds of the normal weekly rent.
