Cancelling and insurance

Once you have booked a holiday cottage you have entered into a contract with the owner of the property and become liable for the full amount of the rent. For this reason we recommend that you take out travel insurance before coming on holiday.

For your convenience this link will take you to a company who specialise in UK travel insurance -
PJ Hayman and Co Ltd.  Please quote the reference COR 5202.  Premiums start from only £9 per party.  You are, of course, perfectly free to use whichever company you wish but we do strongly recommend that you have travel insurance.

If, for some reason you have to cancel your holiday, then you need to confirm this instruction to us in writing. Once we have received your confirmation we will re-advertise the property and, if successful in re-letting it, we will return to you the net rent paid by the re-booker. The amount to be sent to you will have the following deductions made:-
~ Any reduction in rent made in order to re-let the property,
~ £30.00 (inc VAT) cancellation fee,
~ Expenses incurred in administration or advertising the cancelled week and
~ For overseas payment - any expenses due to currency cheque negotiation or overseas postage.
The terms relating to cancellations are fully outlined in our Booking Conditions.
