lovely views of Padstow Harbour and perfectly positioned in the heart of
the old town 12 Strand Street is a deceptively spacious character cottage
recently refurbished to a very high standard to provide a stunning,
contemporary and stylish home. The owners’ attention to detail is very
evident and, if you are a keen cook, the kitchen is a dream. Padstow’s
unspoilt harbour is still used by the local thriving fleet of inshore
fishing vessels who mainly fish for lobsters and crabs but also by leisure
craft so there is always something going on. Right on your doorstep are a
number of delightful pubs, restaurants, galleries and shops and there are
beaches in the estuary within a 10 minute walk. However, just down the
coast are a selection of glorious sandy beaches – one for every day of the
week - and
a number of them absolutely ideal for surfing the rolling Atlantic
breakers. There are championship golf links at Trevose and St. Enodoc; a
passenger ferry and water taxi runs across the estuary to Rock. The route
of the old railway track to Bodmin is now a popular trail for cyclists and
walkers and offers some wonderful scenery along the way.
